San Diego Trip

Cache and I just got back from a 6 day trip to San Diego. My sister Emily invited the two of us to go with her and her kids for their spring break. We drove all day on Sunday it took us 14 1/2 hours. In the car it was Emily, Landon (7), Jaycie (5), Adam (3), Tanner (1), Cache (1), and myself. We made it by giving the kids a lot of snacks . We stayed at Jordan's house. Jordan has four kids Tess (5), Addi (5), Bonnie (3), and KC (1). With nine kids under the age of 8 we just hung out. It was a lot of fun to play outside in the warm weather. Ashton and Lydia live down the street from Jordan so we got to spend time with them and their daughter Hallie (1). With all ten kids we went to a Nature Center, and had a Birthday party for Tess and Addi. We had a great time and are really glad that we went. The only thing the trip was missing was Marc. That was the longest Marc and I have been apart from each other since being married. Thanks to our friends Ricky and Whitney for feeding and hanging out with him! Here are a ton of pictures.

Green Day

I know that Cache is only 1 but I figure now is a good time to try somethings out to see what I want to do when he is older and actually cares about the little holidays. So this morning I set an alarm (which I don't normally do) and got up and made bite size cinnamon sugar biscuits (I turn the sugar green) and green eggs. Cache really liked the biscuit bites probably because of the green icing I put on them, and he wouldn't even try the eggs. It was fun this morning to have breakfast together as a family. Marc pinched both Cache and I because we weren't dressed in green yet. I hope that everyone has a great green day!!!

Midway Ice Castles

We were in Midway last week for the Utah Recreation Conference. Cache and I went to the Park City outlets everyday, it was GREAT! We also made a stop at the Ice Castles, Wasatch County Recreation Center and a cut little Bakery. It was a great family vacation!!!

Cache's 1 year pictures

We took Cache's 1 year pictures just a little early. He turns 1 on February 10th. I can hardly believe he is almost 1. Here are some of our favorite pictures of him.

While we were taking pictures we took just a couple of our family. Cache was having a really hard time knowing what to do with his hands.

Natsuki

Natsuki Ichikawa!!! What a wonderful person and great friend. Natsuki visited from Japan for October conference and we had so much fun! I really miss this girl. She is such a good example to me and is always smiling and laughing. Thanks for being such a great friend!!! Love you!!!!
I don't know if all Japanese do this but Natsuki always puts up a peace sign in pictures so I decided to try it for this picture. I don't know what I think about it.

Lake Trips

Marc, Cache and I went to Bear Lake for a week and Lake Powell for a week. It was so much fun!!! We went to Bear Lake with the entire extended Christensen family about 110 people. We had a lot of fun hanging out at the beach, swimming in the pools and playing games. It was great to hang out with the family and to see aunts, uncles and cousins that live far away. Cache did really good in the water and we escaped with no sunburns. We didn't take very many pics, I can't believe I don't even have one with us outside.

We went to Lake Powell with Marc's friends. Jade's family has a house boat and they were so kind to allow friends. Jade, Jackie and Bella (14 months) come from Las Vegas and Bronco and Jody road down with us. Jade's parents and two brother's with their families and another friend hung out for the week. I had never been to Powell and it was an awesome experience! We had fun swimming, playing basketball, volleyball, boccie, boating, wake boarding, riding wave runners and playing games. Bella is Cache's new girlfriend. The two of them were so cute together. Bella sits up and so I would sit behind Cache so that he could sit and play by her and by the end of the week Cache learned to sit up by himself. Not only could Cache sit up when we got back but he also broke his first tooth while we were there. We had a couple of long nights with the tooth coming in but we didn't have any major injures and again no sunburns. It was a great trip and we are so glad that we had the opportunity to go. Thanks Bylunds!!!
